As a Service Manager, you are the ambassador for our clients, ensuring they experience the full value of our services. You translate their needs into concrete actions, providing strategic guidance and guaranteeing top-tier service delivery.
What will you be doing?
- Manage and follow up on the service portfolio of your clients
- Act as the key point of contact for delivered services within your client portfolio
- Report on spotit’s services based on agreed SLAs and client expectations
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Maintain and enforce SLAs while collaborating with operational teams
- Monitor incidents and changes, escalating when necessary
- Ensure service quality while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Functionally lead a client team and drive continuous improvement
A day in the life of a Service Manager
Your day starts with a quick scan of your inbox—overnight updates from engineers, a client question about an ongoing security incident, and a report request from a key stakeholder.
With a coffee in hand, you prioritize tasks and jump into your first meeting: a service review with a long-term client. You walk them through performance metrics, highlight improvements, and proactively address potential risks. They appreciate your insights and strategic advice, reinforcing the trust you’ve built over time.
Later, you check in with the technical team, ensuring that ongoing incidents are being handled efficiently. One issue requires escalation, so you coordinate a swift resolution while keeping the client informed; transparency is key.
In the afternoon, you meet with a new customer to align expectations, explain our services, and explore opportunities for optimization.
As the day winds down, you review budgets, analyze reports, and prepare for tomorrow’s governance meeting. Before logging off, a quick message comes in from a client: "Thanks for your help today; really appreciate the clear communication!" A reminder that your work makes a real impact.
Your profile
- Client-focused, communicative, and passionate about service management
- 5+ years of experience in Service Management within networking, security, or managed services
- ITIL 4 knowledge (certification is a plus or willingness to obtain it)
- Experience with ServiceNow, PowerBI, and SharePoint is an asset
- Strong ability to present and convince stakeholders
- Skilled at working with technical teams to deliver top-notch services
- Proactive, structured, and always looking for improvement
- Bachelor's or master’s degree, or equivalent experience
- Fluent in Dutch and English
