Spotit's formula for mental health & wellbeing
At spotit we work hard to deliver top-notch quality services for our customers. But it’s important to keep a close eye on the mental health and general wellbeing of employees. With so much ambition and ownership it’s easy to miss the warning signs and slip into a burn-out. Spotit actively offers different options to prevent mental impact by offering intensive coaching, boosting physical activity, and taking off the pressure during fun events.
Open ears, open mind: the power of listening and coaching
We highly believe in open dialogue and creating a safe space for employees to utter their concerns and worries, on all levels. Spotit offers intensive coaching in-house for anyone struggling with all types of challenges. Different employees took up the role of coach to ensure everyone is able to find a confidant. Together we work towards solutions and closely follow-up on progress. If necessary, we have a partnership with Idewe for those seeking external coaching as well.
Measuring the mood
We regularly deduct employee happiness and mood surveys to investigate issues and intervene in a timely manner. Those surveys are anonymous, so employees feel comfortable and secure to share their experiences, but give us a good view on satisfaction rates and the mood within teams and spotit in general. The results are very valuable for the management team and HR to prevent fall-out.
A healthy body equals a healthy mind
We do not only listen and investigate, but actively work on preventing burn-outs and mental health issues. A healthy body is a big step in the right direction. We engage our employees in working out as much as possible, by setting up mid-day runs, offering free tickets to participate in sporting events, and encouraging them to promote their sports via workshops at the office or during team events. We’re always on the lookout for the next Tai Chi instructor or dancing queen among our employees.
Work hard, play hard
Talking about our team events, we quarterly organize an off-site event for all employees, during which we share important business updates, but also take the time to wind out, enjoy some quality time together, engage in fun activities, or discover your next new hobby. From breathing exercises, to an adventurous experience, obstacle runs, and quizzes, we love to challenge both the minds and bodies of our employees, preferably in an exciting setting away from the office. Nothing better for our mental health as a little getaway every now and then.
Work-life balance perfected: enjoying time off
A getaway – short or long – surely is no problem at spotit. With the many vacation days available employees can take the time off they need to recharge their batteries, enjoy their families, and spend some time offline.
Comfort meets productivity: ergonomic office equipment
But when you are working, we try to make your surroundings as comfortable as possible, to prevent strains and a bad posture. We offer stand-up desks to switch regularly between sitting and standing up (remember the importance of a healthy body on a healthy mind?). Our office is equipped with ergonomic sitting balls and stools, keyboards, computer mouses, elevated screens with flexible arms, and so on. In short, everything you need to feel like you’re sitting on a cloud.
